BRIAN HUTCHESON MAT '07 INVITES HIS STUDENTS TO REFLECT
MAT alum Brian Hutcheson's venture into socially engaged artistic practice with his students at the Charles Wright Academy, Tacoma, Washington was covered recently by his local newspaper The News Tribune. In a truly creative project, Brian invited his students to post cylindrical paper tubes on which they wrote their prayers, hopes, and dreams into an installation of hexagonal slots that he had designed and built. The project culminated in the burying of the tubes in school grounds.
